Entrepreneurs & Professionals
About
Build relationships that help good ideas move forward.
Connect with Raise Nation's community of entrepreneurs, professionals, freelancers and aspiring founders across the DMV, NYC and beyond. This space carries forward the connection and support at the heart of our Black entrepreneur and professional groups, bringing those conversations together in one place.
Ask a practical business question, share a useful resource, find a collaborator or celebrate a milestone. Lead with what you can contribute and be clear about the help you need.
Introduce yourself with your city, your field and one skill or resource you can share. Relationships come first; business promotions belong in designated threads or need admin approval.
Group Rules
Make business posts useful and specific
Share relevant questions, resources, collaboration requests and clearly described opportunities. Include location, responsibilities and compensation where relevant; disclose your connection to any business you recommend.
Respect people and their boundaries
Be welcoming and constructive. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, personal attacks or pressure to share personal information.
No spam, scams or unwanted messages
No unrelated ads, market reports, repetitive links, deceptive offers or mass direct messages. Ask before contacting someone privately about an offer.
No pitches disguised as opportunities
No recruitment schemes, guaranteed-income claims, unsolicited sales messages or misleading offers. Put promotions only in admin-designated threads or request approval first. Never post client or employer confidential information.
Protect privacy and give credit
Share only content you have permission to use. Get consent before posting identifiable photos, private conversations or someone else's contact details.
Help moderators keep this space useful
Report suspicious posts instead of engaging. Admins may remove off-topic content, decline requests or remove members who break these rules.
